Drawing its inspiration from old industrial spaces the Industrial style (or Industrial Chic) developed a powerful aesthetic and a new form of raw beauty. Today, especially in urban areas, old plants are being converted into “lofts” – either for residential or commercial purposes. Exposed building materials such as bricks, beams, pipes, concrete, and corroded metal, combined with worn furniture and industrial vintage lighting fixtures offer the space a distinctive raw industrial feel.
